| Dee grew up in Vermont and received her Bachelor's degree in Viola Performance from
Oberlin Conservatory and her Master's degree in Viola Performance from Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
She was a member of the Toledo Symphony and the Toledo Symphony String Quartet for several years before moving
to Baltimore, MD. In Baltimore, Dee was an active free-lance violist and teacher. She performed regularly with
the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the Baltimore Opera Orchestra, Baltimore Chamber Orchestra, Concert Artists of
Baltimore among others in the Baltimore, Washington D.C. area. She maintained a private teaching studio and also
conducted the Greater Baltimore Youth String Orchestra.
Dee has participated in the Aspen Music Festival, the Music Academy of the West, the North Carolina School for
the Arts Summer Festival and the Breckenridge Music Festival. More recently, she performed at the St. Barth's
Music Festival. Dee was the managing director of the Innsbrook Music Festival in Innsbrook, MO for the Festival's
first two summer seasons.
Dee moved to St. Louis in 2000. She performs frequently with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and the Bach Society
of St. Louis as well as at the Fox Theater, and with other area ensembles. Dee is on the faculty of Washington
University in St. Louis and has a private teaching studio as well.
Dee is the founding member of the Rosewood Ensemble.
